Designed by Migmar Tsering, the Pema collection consists of unique and wonderful hand knitted wool accessories and hempwear for both men and women. A key component of Migmar’s creations is the use of natural fibres and local traditional skills, while being environmentally and socially responsible. Migmar’s designs have sold worldwide in stores such as Barney’s New York, Browns Focus, Fred Segal, Louis Boston, Ships and Marui to name just a few.

Pema New York also carries specially selected designer collections in apparel, jewelry, leather goods and footwear from around the world.

Pema New York was born in the summer of 2004 in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Pema, meaning “Lotus flower” in Tibetan, symbolizes purity and is used by Tibetan scholars to illustrate how like the beautiful Lotus flower which can apppear from such dark and dirty waters and remain unstained, so too can a person attain enlightenment in these dark and difficult times.
